School choice is as American as the Happy Meal

Atlanta’s school superintendent, Meria Carstarphen, said the idea of school choice is quintessentially American, noting that “people like choice. They want to pick their president. They want to pick their Happy Meal.”

She also said, “What I hear here in Atlanta is that [families] do want a portfolio of options.”
