Reminder: Open enrollment ends in one week! The absolute firm deadline for open enrollment applications is 4pm Friday, February 20th. Our primer on the process remains online. Click here.
We've received positive response to our Q and A provided in that alert. The most common question we received over the last several weeks was: Can we open enroll in more than one virtual school? Not only can you, we recommend it. Especially with all the changes in the school and course offerings this year. By JUNE 5th, parents whose applications were approved must notify their chosen nonresident school districts whether the student will attend the nonresident school district in the following school year. Failure to make this notification may result in the student being unable to open enroll. Take advantage of the interim period between now and and the June 5th deadline to find out more about the different options you have before you. Good luck, and as always, we are only a click away.
Finally, remember: The Primary Election for the State Superintendent of Public Instruction is Tuesday, Feb 17th.
